Privacy Policy
Musashi Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) and its domestic subsidiaries in Japan (subsidiaries meaning those defined in the “Regulations on Terminology, Forms, and Preparation Methods of Financial Statements, etc.” (Ministry of Finance Ordinance No. 59 of 1963, including subsequent amendments), and hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Company Group”) comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and establish the following Personal Information Protection Policy, and appropriately handle personal information acquired by the Company Group.
This Privacy Policy constitutes the common basic policy of the Company Group; however, if a domestic subsidiary establishes a separate privacy policy for specific business activities as necessary, such privacy policy shall take precedence over this Privacy Policy with respect to such business activities.

1.Personal Information
“Personal Information” means “personal information” as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003), being information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other descriptions contained therein, or that includes a personal identification code.
2.Acquisition of Personal Information
The Company Group acquires personal information by appropriate means and within the necessary scope after specifying the purpose of use.
3.Purpose of Use of Personal Information, etc.
Except where prior consent has been obtained from the individual or where otherwise permitted as an exception under applicable laws and regulations, the Company Group uses acquired personal information within the scope necessary for the following purposes. In addition, as described in Section 5 below, the Company Group may jointly use acquired personal information.
(1) Personal information relating to customers and business partners
- Performance of operations related to the sale of products or provision of services.
- Performance of operations related to the purchase of goods or receipt of services.
- Providing information regarding products or services
- Performance of operations related to the improvement or development of products or services.
- Responding to inquiries and similar requests.
- Providing information on training sessions, events, and requesting cooperation with surveys or questionnaires.
(2) Personal information relating to shareholders
- Exercise of rights and performance of obligations under the Companies Act, the Articles of Incorporation, etc.
- Management of shareholders, including preparing records in accordance with various laws and regulations.
(3) Personal information relating to applicants for recruitment and hiring activities
- Providing information to applicants and performing other operations related to recruitment and hiring activities.
(4) Personal information relating to employees and their family members
- Business communications.
- Performance of operations related to personnel, labor management, employee benefits, and health management.
- Employee training.
- Contacting individuals in emergencies.
4.Joint Use
The Company Group may jointly use acquired personal information as follows.
(1) Items of personal information to be jointly used
All or part of the personal information acquired by the Company Group, including name, address, telephone number, age, purchase history, and similar information.
(2) Scope of parties jointly using the information
Subsidiaries and affiliated companies as defined as group companies of the Company.
(3) Purpose of use by parties jointly using the information
The purposes of use set forth in Section 3 above.
(4) Name, address, and representative of the party responsible for managing the personal information to be jointly used

5.Restrictions on Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
Except where permitted by laws and regulations, the Company Group will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without the individual’s consent.
6.Security Control Measures for Personal Information
The Company Group implements security control measures to properly manage personal information. The main details are as follows.
(1)Organizational security control measures
- Appointment of a person responsible for handling personal information and clarification of that person’s roles.
(2)Personnel security control measures
- Training for employees and similar personnel on the proper handling of personal information.
(3)Physical security control measures
- Restrictions on employees and similar personnel carrying personal information.
(4)Technical security control measures
- Restricting access rights to data containing personal information or setting passwords.
7.Outsourcing of Handling of Personal Information
The Company Group may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to third parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use. In such cases, the Company Group will provide necessary and appropriate supervision of the outsourcee.
8.Disclosure of Personal Information
When requested by the individual to disclose personal information, the Company Group will confirm the requester’s identity and disclose the information without delay. However, where non-disclosure is permitted by laws and regulations, the Company Group may choose not to disclose all or part of the information; if it decides not to disclose, it will notify the individual of such decision without delay.
9.Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
If the Company Group receives a request from the individual to correct or delete personal information held by the relevant company on the grounds that it is incorrect, and determines that it is necessary to respond to such request, it will, without delay, correct or delete the relevant personal information in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company Group and notify the individual.
10.Suspension of Use, etc., of Personal Information
If the Company Group is requested by the individual, pursuant to laws and regulations, to suspend use or delete personal information (hereinafter “Suspension of Use, etc.”), it will promptly conduct necessary investigations and, based on the results, carry out Suspension of Use, etc., of the relevant personal information in accordance with laws and regulations, and notify the individual accordingly. However, if Suspension of Use, etc., would entail substantial costs or is otherwise difficult to implement, and alternative measures necessary to protect the individual’s rights and interests can be taken, the Company Group will take such alternative measures.
11.Procedure for Changes to the Privacy Policy
The Company Group may review and change the contents of this Privacy Policy as appropriate, and the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect when it is posted on the Company Group’s website.
12.Handling of Complaints and Consultations
If the Company Group receives complaints or consultations from the individual regarding the handling of personal information, it will respond appropriately and promptly. The Company Group will also respond promptly and appropriately to requests from the individual for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, and similar actions regarding personal information.
