[Corporate Information] Announcement Regarding the Establishment of the In-Mold Coating Consortium (IMCC)

Musashi Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. and Gifu Tada Seiki Co., Ltd. have begun preparations to establish the In-Mold Coating Consortium (IMCC), a cross-industry initiative aimed at promoting the adoption of In-Mold Coating (IMC) technology in Japan.

IMCC will serve as an open co-creation platform for companies and organizations across the entire supply chain, including end-product manufacturers in the automotive, home appliance, and housing and building products industries, as well as equipment manufacturers, mold makers, material suppliers, and paint and coatings manufacturers.

IMC is a next-generation decorative technology that integrates coating and molding into a single manufacturing process, helping improve manufacturing efficiency while reducing energy consumption.

Through collaboration with partner companies, IMCC aims to establish a solid technological foundation and accelerate the adoption of IMC in Japan by promoting technical validation, verification for mass-production applications, and the accumulation of expertise and data.

Moving forward, IMCC will continue to contribute to the advancement of next-generation decorative technologies through collaboration across industries.
