Paints are each unique, and you can feel the results of your work in everyday life and experience a real sense of achievement! Musashi Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. is seeking colleagues to join us.

What kind of work do you do at Musashi Paint?

Paint manufacturing is broadly divided into three processes: clear paints called “Clear,” colored paints that form the base called “Primary Colors,” and “Color Matching,” which combines these to create colors. I am currently in charge of the color matching process.

Each paint is unique, and I must mix the paints so that the color matches exactly what the customer has approved. If the color does not match, I must think about how to adjust it. I compare the color of the painted panel with samples that have been previously submitted to the customer and judge subtle differences in color. This work requires both experience and technical skills.

When did you feel growth after joining the company?

After graduating from school and joining the company, I knew nothing as a working adult, but I participated in internal training to understand paintings, the industry, and the company, as well as external business seminars.

During OJT training in the production department through job rotations, I received passionate guidance from senior colleagues and was able to grow day by day.

Everyone gets along well, communicates during work, and helps each other when someone cannot finish their tasks. Now, I feel that I am able to contribute both to the company and the surrounding community.

When do you feel the joy of working at Musashi Paint?

During the daily color matching work, the paints whose colors we painstakingly adjusted are used in various places.

When I see products using those paints in TV commercials or on store shelves, I feel the joy of my work, and it is a moment of satisfaction and fun. I can feel the results of my work in everyday life, giving me a tangible sense of accomplishment.

Why did you choose Musashi Paint?

When I saw the job posting, I noticed that the company offered better salaries, benefits, and welfare than others. When I researched further, I was surprised to find that although the company has a factory in Saitama, it also has many overseas locations. I became interested in the fact that the company creates so many colors around the world that are used in everyday products like home appliances, and I wanted to be part of that. That is why I chose Musashi Paint.

Message to readers

Life as a working adult is definitely busier than as a student, so you should try as many experiences as possible, find what you want to do, and focus on it passionately. Think carefully about what you want to do in the future, what kind of company you want to work for, and what kind of job you want to have. Work hard to take your first step toward it.
