I want to create paints that enrich society through color and functionality while utilizing my language skills!

Musashi Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. is seeking colleagues to join us.

What kind of work do you do at Musashi Paint?

I am mainly engaged in improvement and development of paints. In addition to meeting performance requirements requested by customers, we must create paints that are in demand in the current market. Therefore, I try new raw materials for prototyping and incorporate new technologies, challenging myself daily to create better paints.

When did you feel growth after joining the company?

At Musashi Paint, I am responsible for various types of work.

When I first joined, I was involved in paint improvement and color matching. While learning about color, I was taught the basics of paints. I felt very happy when I was able to create paints with the texture and color desired by the customer.

Later, when I became involved in paint development, I learned not only about raw materials but also how to use manufacturing equipment and testing methods, as well as points to be careful about in the painting process. I believe that to complete a paint product, it is important to consider multiple aspects, maintain balance, and connect it to the final product. There is still much to learn, but I want to increase what I can do one by one and contribute to the company.

When do you feel the joy of working at Musashi Paint?

Even though everyone is responsible for their own projects, we advise each other on development projects, and when we encounter difficulties, senior colleagues provide guidance. I feel that this creates a very approachable and supportive environment.

In fact, I grew up in Taiwan and lived there until I graduated from university.

Therefore, when I first became a working adult, I had many concerns about working in a Japanese company. However, after joining, I found that many people in the workplace understand Chinese, and I could easily ask questions about things I did not understand. This allowed me to learn many things. Musashi also holds social gatherings where I can interact with people from other departments and receive advice on work. It is a workplace where you can learn while enjoying your work.

Why did you choose Musashi Paint?

I majored in chemistry at university and was considering work related to development. I also wanted to make use of my Chinese and Japanese language skills, so I decided to seek employment in Japan.

Musashi Paint has bases in multiple countries, including China. I wanted to create paints that enrich society through color and functionality while using my language skills, which is why I decided to join the company.

Currently, I am also responsible for collaborating with a partner company in Taiwan using Chinese, and I feel fulfilled with my work every day.

When I was a student, I did not think much about employment, but I challenged myself with things that interested me.

In addition to my chemistry major, I actively took classes in art and psychology. These may not have been directly related to my current work, but they indirectly help me in my work, particularly regarding color and communication with others.

Whether for fun or study, I hope everyone challenges themselves with various things and enjoys them wholeheartedly.
