Production Department, Color Matching Section Taichi Ishimura

Please Introduce Yourself

I joined the company in 2019. I am originally from Iwate Prefecture and was born in 2001. I grew up in Iwate for 18 years, and through a fortunate connection, I was given the opportunity to join Musashi Paint.
I live on my own, and my hobbies include running and playing video games. Recently, however, I often spend my days off catching up on sleep or watching YouTube.

What Kind of Work Do You Do at Musashi Paint?

At Musashi Paint, I am mainly involved in manufacturing. I first learned the fundamentals by working with clear coatings, which form the base of our paints. I then learned about colors using primary colors, and since this year, I have been working in the Color Matching Section, performing color-matching tasks. I have experienced nearly all aspects of the manufacturing process, including preparation, canning, and dispersion, which has helped me build a solid foundation in production work.

Why Did You Choose Musashi Paint?

I learned that Musashi Paint produces coatings used in world-famous game consoles that everyone knows, as well as many other familiar products we see in everyday life. That sparked my interest, and I wanted to work for a company involved in creating such products, which is why I chose Musashi Paint.

What Do You Find Appealing About Musashi Paint?

I think one of the biggest attractions is that everyone is friendly, and people of all ages can work together harmoniously. Another appeal is that anyone is given the opportunity to challenge themselves and take on what they want to do. The company encourages employees to try new things.

When Do You Feel a Sense of Fulfillment at Work?

Currently, I work in the Color Matching Section, so I feel a strong sense of fulfillment when I successfully apply paint to a test panel and receive approval. I am still new to this work, so I continue to make daily efforts while learning from my seniors.

What Do You Value in Your Work?

I value a sense of fulfillment and fair recognition for my efforts. No matter how hard you work or how much you achieve, if the evaluation does not match your efforts, I feel it becomes difficult to truly find meaning in the work.

What Kind of Colleagues Would You Like to Work With?

I would like to work toward higher goals with people who are energetic and highly motivated. In addition, I think it is important to work with colleagues who are considerate and mindful of those around them.

A Message to Our Readers

Choosing a job is one of the most important decisions in life.

If the workplace atmosphere is negative, it can be hard to feel motivated to go to work each day.
Musashi Paint is a bright and energetic workplace, so for those who want to work in a positive environment, I highly recommend Musashi Paint.

Comments from Seniors and Colleagues

What Kind of Person Is Mr. Ishimura?

  • He is proactive in his work and always willing to challenge himself by trying new things.
  • Although we have not worked on the same floor, we occasionally go out for meals together. Our first interaction was during on-the-job training for new employees. At that time, he left the impression of being polite, serious, and sincere, with a refreshing sense of youth. Three years later, I was in charge of on-the-job training again when handing over work to him. While his initial impression remained the same, I was struck by how much he had grown—his quick learning ability, strong understanding, youthful speed, and passionate approach to work had all developed remarkably. I clearly remember being impressed by his rapid growth and deeply respect his attitude toward work.

What Do You Admire About Mr. Ishimura?

  • His willingness to challenge himself in a wide range of tasks.

What Do You Expect from Mr. Ishimura?

  • As he is still in his fifth year and has many tasks he has yet to experience, I hope he will proactively gain a wide variety of experiences. Through these experiences, his perspective will broaden, and the scope of his contributions will continue to expand. His attitude toward work and his ability to take action to improve operations through creative ideas and process improvements are great strengths that not everyone possesses. I look forward to seeing him continue to grow and develop into someone who can make an even greater impact.
