Kun Ito, Production Technology Section, Production Department
You can take on challenges and grow to get closer to the future you envision! Musashi Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. is seeking colleagues to join us.
Self-introduction
I am from Tochigi Prefecture, born in 1986, and joined the company in 2009.
I have two children, a first son aged 6 and a second son aged 3, and we play “battle games” every day.
My hobbies are food tours and running marathons. I visit about 100 new restaurants a year for food tours, and I have participated in over 30 half marathons and about 10 full marathons.
What kind of work do you do at Musashi Paint?
As a member of the Production Technology Section, I am involved in creating manufacturing processes for new paints, improving production efficiency for existing paints, and maintaining and improving quality. I am also responsible for updating and maintaining equipment within the factory and ensuring safety. This sometimes requires working on weekends for equipment inspections and related tasks.
Why did you choose Musashi Paint?
During my job search, I loved not only the design but also the “colors” of the mobile phones and computers I was using, which were made by the same company. When I attended the company briefing session, I heard from Mr. Kobayashi (currently with Musashi Paint Indonesia) that he was responsible for all the color development at that company. I was amazed and inspired, and thought, “I want to do this too!” and decided to join.
What do you find appealing about Musashi Paint?

There is a culture that allows you to take on various challenges, and there are many attractive employees. For example, as part of efforts to boost employee motivation, last year I was included in a global peer travel program. Employees with 15 years of service from all locations were invited on a trip to Japan, showing how actively the company plans initiatives for its employees.
When do you feel a sense of fulfillment in your work?
It is when I collaborate with people from various departments to create paint. Also, I feel happy when I see products in the city that use Musashi Paint’s paints.
What do you seek in your work?
I aim to continuously produce products that delight our customers. To achieve this, I strive daily to maintain and improve safety, quality, and efficiency in my work
What kind of colleagues do you want to work with?
Since I work with various people both inside and outside the company, I want to work with colleagues who are cooperative yet have strong principles.
